Gut Infection affecting results?

TennisUK profile image
6 Replies

I've just received my latest results from Medichecks and my CRP - HS is unusually high at 9.2 Range is 0-5 My last result 2 months ago was 0.51

Also my TrAB has also shot up.

Immediately prior to taking my sample I was very bloated and listless which I believe was some kind of gut infection which has now gone. Could this have affected both my CRP and TrAB result?

Folate 4.4 (3.89 - 19.45)

Vitamin B12 64.7 ( 37.5 - 187.5)

I am aware that my Vitamins plus Folate is very low. I did write before to say that taking Vitamin D and B supplements causes insomnia. I have since tried Vitamin D and B12 patches and plus for the last 2 months used a tube of Vitamin D cream. My results are disappointing but it is the CRP and Thyroglobulin Antibodies that stand out as being widely different. I might add that my diet, although not perfect is very good.

Thanks for any advice / help.

I did write before to say that taking Vitamin D and B supplements causes insomnia.

You might find that taking your vitamins in the morning (at least an hour after any thyroid hormones) might help. Minerals are best taken much later in the day.

It is very important to get the right timetable for taking hormones, vitamins, minerals and food to maximise the absorption of all of them without interfering with each other.

I was taking a good quality Vitamin B complex at breakfast or the Vitamin B12 liquid before breakfast. I also took the Vitamin D at breakfast. I take Magnesium at bedtime and that helps me and NAC before breakfast.

I'm someone that has always taken supplements but in the last 2 years have become super sensitive to them. Vitamin C is also affecting me. I just don't understand it other than the supplements make me more hyper by crossing the brain barrier?

I did visit a Kinesiologist with a huge bag of supplements and the only thing I needed to take was Cats Claw for my gut and Alpha Lipoic acid. Meanwhile my results are telling me otherwise. I also only try one thing at a time before introducing anything else.
