Hi everyone its been a while since I have posted on here, I have been taking Thyroid S and doing really well. However I cannot buy any more stocks and am close to running out. Please could anyone help with any advice on alternative NDT's that I could switch to that a. I can buy without prescription and b. where I can buy from please.
I had a partial thyroidectomy 4 years ago and my GP and various consultants refused to medicate me even though my bloods were showing I was increasingly hypo - in desperation I turned to self research and advice from kind people like those on this site which led me to Thyroid S and my health came back.
I am now so worried that I cannot buy my mediacation that I desperately need, so any other brand recommendations and how to buy would be amazing.

Thyroid-S has been unavailable for many months and it's possible that supplies may start to reappear soon but no-one has any confirmed date, maybe check with your usual supplier.
Alternatively, a couple of new NDT brands have appeared although there have been teething troubles and they have had to be reformulated. I don't know whether they have yet been found to be effective. You could search for Real Thyroid and Tru Thyroid. I am not recommending them - I don't take NDT - it's just that they are new brands to the market.
The other alternative is perhaps trial Metavive which is available in the UK - it is not NDT it is a thyroid glandular with no declared hormone content so can be sold without prescription. Some members have tried it and are doing well, some haven't got on with it at all.
