SeasideSusie asked you in your thread two days ago about the test results for your anti-bodies. I could not see your reply to this important question. It would confirm the cause of you being Hyper. We do see cases here when people are prescribed the wrong medication. You can have Hyper symptoms with Hashimotos - so best to check.

Yes I read those results on your previous post. So you need other important tests done. Without the correct testing you may end up with the wrong treatment.

Please read through your earlier post for suggestions given.

I would suggest you read through the Replies to your post two days ago. Make notes of the tests needed. Are you able to have Private Testing done through TUK ?

Was your thyroid tested previously?

My experience is to be the squeaky wheel. Call the hospital daily until you get the information you need. You don’t have to be rude but you do have to be persistent. I rang the hospital daily to get my children’s cases seen to. Boy has a torn hip and girl had bone tumour. Keep ringing but be polite always

I think this happens a awful lot. I know it happens to me all the time.

Both the GP and specialist are always saying is down to the other.... not my department type of thing. It is very frustrating and if you are not well, in a state of shock & worried it’s can get all too much & I do sometimes feel like hiding away.

No one should have to, but I’ve now learnt not to expect to hear back from doctors/ admin. They operate in a very fragmented and reactive manner. Sometimes I think every result and follow up appointment would be “lost in the system” if I didn’t chase it up myself!

The hospital may not have already or may not intend to test your antibodies, so it will be up to you to request it’s done.

If you are still waiting for call back from GP it’s always good idea to agree on a time limit and call back if you don’t hear. If they know you intend to keep calling back they might be more willing to deal.

My advice is to remain calm, be polite but be persistent!
