My husband has high thyroid antibodies and takes Armour thyroid as his replacement meds. 2 years ago my husbands Dr started him on compounded LDN to see if it would help reduce his antibodies. His Dr. said they find it helps to greatly reduce antibodies in only about 1/3rd of those that take it. It slightly helps another 1/3 and does nothing for the rest. My husband was on it for a year and in that year, his antibodies didn't increase, but he didn't really have any reduction. He isn't taking it right now. It was quite expensive, since it was only available at a compounded pharmacy.
Thank you. I have read similar percentages regarding effectiveness. I was interested in reading other members take on it.
I was especially keen to know if it was effective for weight loss.
I have an interactive Thyroid and am on 150mg Of Levo. and look pregnant Not a good look in the autumn of my life
🙄
I've never heard of it being used for weight loss. I know some Drs. prescribe it for MS and fibromyalgia. Do you have T3 run with your thyroid bloodwork? Often low T3 will give a very bloated look because low T3 can cause a great deal of fluid retention, especially in the midsection.
