Chronic disease can have this at the base. This talk by Todd Watts gives a well rounded talk on the effect of toxins and what to do. But only for 24 hours.

It's not adrenal fatigue, it's mitochondrial dysfunction. When we are sore after exercise is it because you have run out of oxygen. You need energy to build hormones. It's not an infection problem, it is an immune dysfunction problem.

They know so much about specific parts of the brain's activity, Dr. Chiu points out that even your nostrils can lead to right or left brain and if you are using an essential oil for anxiety, you only inhale lavender through the left nostril.

He also explains why meditation is not the initial answer. Movement is necessary and other techniques to activate certain parts of the brain will help with overactivated ones. We've heard of deep breathing or standing on one foot but didn't realize how they affect the brain. Lynndeb, this is a Thyroid Forum but the brain effect is very real and while healing the gut is important the brain can also need healing. Supplements can help with toxins but parasites can create certain toxins that hide in biofilm. It's a matter of awareness. If healing stops or doesn't even start, we have to look at these toxins. If they remain, you can't make progress.
