I’ve had a persistent sore throat the last year or so. At times it feels better but lately has been very sore. It might be silent reflux. Thoughts?
As background, I was diagnosed with hypo (sort of) this last year based on symptoms not labs. I’ve been taking 1 grain of AT and just now upping it to 1.5.
I’ve felt zippier but today my throat is especially sore and I’ve been anxious.

It could be reflux as the gut is a big user of thyroid hormones and if hormones are low the gut can suffer.
However, when my ft4 levels are low I get persistent sore throats, my voice goes hoarse and at very low times I lose my voice altogether. I am on levo and lio and it is through adjusting FT4 and FT3 levels with dose changes that I have found out that it is an FT4 low symptom for me. When lio was introduced my levo dose was halved. That is when I lost my voice and FT4 was at the bottom of range.
Look up on Google "Post Nasal drip Thyroid" I have what you've got and saw Thy related. Im using a spray called Otrovine and pastilles called Stretfen both from Boots and recommended by pharmacist there. Also Piritin might help. For me its some kind of reaction to cild air in winter. The covid mask outside helps as it keeps air breathed in warm and moist. Good luck
