Letter to GP worked- thanks for advice. Thyroid testing

I attach below an edited version of letter sent to GP. I was advised on here that mentioning Thyroid UK had given someone limited success with GP testing. I received a phone call the same day, all tests were agreed to and I was even given Food allergy testing as well (which I never requested). I am hoping to confirm through these tests that my underactive thyroid is Hashimotos disease.

I hope this may also prove successful for others (but if it helps only one person that's great). Thanks again..........

You worded that well - a GP might have found it much more difficult to refuse tests when politely asked for, with some reasoning.
