Is it possible to shrink any of these naturally?
If so, how?
Has anyone tried any weird supplements like mushroom extracts, q10, anything at all? No gluten? Wheat? Dairy? Exercises, yoga?

I have had a multinodular goiter for about 12 years but I think it has been there a lot longer. Some people can have nodules and they cause them no symptoms and they are not aware they have them. Unfortunately there is nothing I can do to get rid of mine but I do know that taking Levothyroxine if you are hypothyroid or taking Carbimazole if you are hyperthyroid can help to ease some of the symptoms. If it becomes too big and it is interfering with your breathing or eating etc. the only thing you can do is have it surgically removed I'm afraid. Also if any of the nodules become cancerous you will also have to have it removed. At the moment mine is not too big and hardly noticeable but it can cause me symptoms and affect my thyroid levels. I have ultrasounds every couple of years to monitor it and at the moment none of the nodules have increased in size and I have never had to have a biopsy on any of them yet. Hopefully some other people will be along to tell you about their goiters.
Thank you Lora. One minute one seems to have good health - and suddenly things do start to change. Good thing is that I am learning to be more mindful of my diet and trying to implement exercise regime. I was wondering what one can do naturally, although I do know one has to be extremely cautious about anything not researched or regulated.
Have a strong healthy day!
Hi, sadly I didn't start to feel thoroughly unwell until after I had found a nodule, been told it needed to come out and had a partial thyroidectomy, so I didn't get chance to try anything. Since then I have read that some consider oestrogen (imbalance/dominance) to be a nodule 'trigger' and as I now know that I'm really bad at metabolizing and getting rid of oestrogen I wish I'd known beforehand. I'm sure it is not the case for everyone, but might be worth some thought, depending on your other signs and symptoms. (pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/236....
I have also now got autoimmune issues and have used an AI diet - still grain and dairy free and that too has made a big difference to me personally. I would suggest though that you get a coeliac test first, because going back on once off, just for testing, is really not a good idea. And generally improving your health - stress reduction etc so yes, yoga or whatever works for you, concentrate on getting gut and digestion as good as possible, and your liver functioning because it has to work very hard and we give it no thought or love at all! Best wishes.
Thank you, Bookish. That was helpful. I will start with what you have mentioned.
Wishing you the very best.
Thank you, and good luck x
PS magnesium very useful for helping with oestrogen clearance and many are low in it - also helps balance calcium and needed with Vit D along with Vit K2. I use Better You flakes in bath or footbath, or oil spray on skin.
