Spoke to GP on phone. Told her I'm bringing "beware of Biotin" papers round to Surgery!

I just want to say that I had a long chat with GP. She won't allow me to have any more HRT unless I have scans. I cancelled the last scan as I refuse to have an exam.

I don't mind paying for the scans, as long as I continue getting the HRT. The trouble is she lies about everything, like the cost, & the procedure, i.e. the exam. She knows I'm hard up, & she knows I have a phobia about exams. I just don't trust her. She's holding out the promise of some Zopiclone to reset my body clock too,as well as the HRT, but only on condition that I get my womb scanned. I will refuse any exams at the hospital though. All this will cost several days income, I don't think she's got many patients, & is trying to get as many earners as she can.

At the previous practice I only had to pay a few £ for a prescription, & no expensive autopsies & phone talks each time I needed a repeat script for a patch! It may be cheaper to buy them from an overseas pharmacy, if this is how it's going to be each month.

OK rant over! I said I would bring papers to the surgery, & pick up the last blood test that she never gave me. I told her those are my conditions! The biotin that I take is the highest dose available, it's the only 1 I could get shipped to Jersey, just found out recently that it's 20,000 times the normal dose, & that I have to stop taking it 7 days before tests. I told her that all my past tests are invalid as a result.

It will be interesting to see if they pin the papers up in surgery though!

They now print on the UK thyroid blood test results sheet that these results may be inaccurate if biotin supplements have been taken prior to the test. So yes, you are correct, previous tests you have had while taking biotin may not have given an accurate reading.
