This paper shows that the outcome for hypothyroid patients who contract covid-19 is not different for those who are not:

Thank you - well that's something less for our concern. However, reports on post-viral problems, akin to CFS/ME, aren't looking too good.

Very interesting read diogenes......Need to take my levo regularly after reading this. They didn't really have a sample from People with Hashimoto's though (that's what came across). Thank you.

I have Hashimotos. I got covid and was on a vent for 22 days. I was in the hospital a total of 45 days.

As expected but nonetheless good news.

The high percentage of patients hospitalized suggest that only patients with substantial symptoms were tested for COVID-19. This seems reasonable given the study looked at patients diagnosed in March 2020 when testing was not widely available. Even so it seems reasonable to extrapolate these results to mild cases since the hospital admission rates did not differ.

Only from the point of view of those who are hypothyroid!

Those who are not hypothyroid find themselves no better off than those who are. If they had thought they would have a better outcome because they are not hypothyroid, they now find that they are just as badly affected.
