Best Lab in UK for MTHFR DNA Test???

I’m looking to take a reliable MTHFR DNA Test.

The only tests I can find refer to “Ancestry”. Don’t need that.

Are there any proper Labs who just do the MTHFR Test?

They also offer interpretation of DNA tests done via Ancestry or 23 and me .....you simply upload existing DNA tests and get an easy to understand report ....Not expensive either at around £15

I’m just confused as to why it’s only these Ancestry companies are doing the test? I can’t take them seriously.

If there are no standard scientific Labs doing this test, it make me wonder if it’s a real thing?

It’s not ...this company mainly offers new full DNA testing

I happen to have done Ancestry DNA test for family history reasons ...and so used the cheaper evaluation option ....not quite as comprehensive as this MTHFR test companies own full DNA test ....but still very revealing

I doubt I’ll be doing a test if I can’t find a proper lab, who just focus on lab tests, without the Ancestry bit.

I know I’m Folate deficient & I know I eat green every day, so I it’s likely I don’t Methylate it.

So I’ll just take the Methyl Folate for now & see how it goes.

Any idea what dose should be taken?

I think your missing the point here

MTHFR- genetics have nothing to do with ancestry ...

They offer a full DNA testing facility ...this tests full DNA including methylation issues

(But this company also offer to evaluate other DNA tests done by other companies)

Even just sending them my Ancestry DNA test results I found out I have lots of DNA issues: gluten intolerance confirmed, vitamin D, as well as MTHFR
