Changed dose of Levo

Well would you believe it, I had to go to my clinic today for my nhs health check, while I was there the nurse said that he should take bloods for my TFTs also, he then said to me ‘oh you’ve only recently had these done by the looks of it, July 4th?’ I said yes but wondered whether he could slip an extra one in and he said he would. He then said that I had a prescription waiting for me at the pharmacy for my Levo. Have I?? I only collected it about ten days ago but I’ll pop in on my way out, which I did. Sure enough, there was a prescription for me for 50mcg!! The reason I was surprised is because only last week I asked my gp to increase my dose from 25mcg, to 50 but she wasn’t having any of it, also my endo said the same but as I have said in a previous post his letter to me stated that I should stay on the prescribed 50mcg until our next appointment in September! He obviously wasn’t aware I was on 25mcg. So he’s either had a change of heart or my gp has, not sure who but happy days 🙃. My next bloods will need to be in around 5 weeks, prior to my next endo appt so I’m hoping that’s enough time. What does annoy me is that my prescription was put in, on the 27 July and I was never informed of the increase or told that there were meds waiting for me to collect. Ah well let’s see how this pans out.

Oh well it's all good in this instance, hope the increase is an improvement.
