I use both Blue Horizon and Medichecks and yes, currently you should post with either Tracked24 envelope if they provide one or with Royal Mail's Special Delivery Guaranteed Next Day by 1pm if no Tracked24 envelope provided, to arrive at the lab by Friday at the latest to avoid the sample hanging around over the weekend.
If posted standard first class it wont take priority and delays with standard first class post are being experienced in some areas.
Have you posted somewhere where you know it will be picked up today? If not it wont be picked up until Monday. If picked up today then Tracked24 will arrive Monday or Tuesday.
It's going to be hot over the weekend, sample may be hanging around in the heat and may possibly spoil.
I think it's a case of wait and see. If the sample isn't viable they may very well send you another kit free of charge.
