Good morning everyone😀
I still had not heard from my Endocrinologist (due to be seen end of March) inspite of writing and calling at the suggestion of my GP surgery. I arranged a telephone call with my GP who told me that Outpatient at our hospitals are not only closed but decimated! He said that, since lockdown, all Doctors were reassigned, admin and Nursing Staff too. Endos were redeployed so he says he’s not surprised I hadn’t heard anything.
So much for the daily briefings saying ‘the NHS is still open’ 🤷♀️
I discussed my latest private thyroid panel and he has advised me to take 125/150mcgs on alternate days. Finally, the Endo office called me to say I am on the waiting list for a Zoom appt.
I’m sick and tired of Doctors assuming I am a numbskull and when I question their focus on TSH readings for example, they get defensive. I’ve read a few posts today before writing this one and see common thoughts: Doctors patronising us, dissing this Forum, assuming we don’t know a lot about our conditions even though we have lived with it for years! 🙄
