I ordered 2 antibody tests from Blue Horizon. Supposed to be fingerprick tests. But when they arrived the amount of blood you need to draw is considerable and you have to fill a largish vial š±.
I think that the expression they use āfingerprickā is misleading . I will try and get a refund as far to much blood to draw via that method for me š¢.

Blue Horizon put a small microtainer blood collection tube inside a larger outer tube for protection, which then goes into the hinged transport container. Take a look at the picture of the kit here (click on second picture):
You just fill the small tube with the yellow top, it holds about 0.6 to 0.8ml of blood, which is a very small amount when you consider that a teaspoonful is 5.00ml.
Thankyou so much. I will take a look. I tried phoning Blue Horizon but they are not taking calls. I didnāt want to open the containers so just read the instructions. Thankyou again for your helpful advice š
I did my first finger prick test the other week. I couldnāt believe the size of the tube!!
I used my middle finger and only a drop or two cane out so didnāt think it wound work. Then I used my ring finger after putting the band around it for a minute. The blood flowed after that and I actually ended up over filling! Just follow the instructions and youāll be able to do it. Iām just gutted I wasted money on blood draws now!!
