A Endo I saw for a separate health issue instructed my GP to lower my Levo without any discussion whatsoever , due to TSH 0.02 but thyroid hormones not even half way in range ! Didn’t notice until I was short of hormones .
I phone the source and used the word anxious and worried about this as I am doing fine and felt no need of reduction .
An Endo ,(not the one I saw he not longer works there ) whom I never met, then wrote to GP using the word ‘anxious’ as a diagnosis to apply to me !
This is the last thing that I have ever suffered with (fortunately) but now it appears I’m labelled with !
Mrs Very Anger at Endo’s !!!
Is that a diagnosis 🤔🤓?
I give up

I agree with SeasideSusie and would suggest you write a letter to the GP also to say that it is unacceptable for your thyroid meds to be reduced unilaterally when you are not over-medicated, as clearly demonstrated by the blood tests of your thyroid hormones (ie T3 and T4) - and that concern that your health is threatened by such high-handed action is NOT the same as anxiety.
Don't give up - and don't let them get away with it x
The 'specialists' should not adjust anyone's dose if they are only taking notice of the TSH. It is because of their poor training that they believe i.e.
"if TSH is very low patient has become hyPERthyroid'
Once-upon-a-time, all doctors only took notice of our clinical symptoms alone (no blood tests then) and we were given a trial of NDT (natural dessicated thyroid hormones) that contain all of the hormones a healthy gland would do).
Unfortunately in the UK this very important thyroid hormone replacement has been withdrawn due to 'false statements' made about it in order to do so. This decision left many patients who were well upon it, searching frantically for a replacement.
We've lost faith in many doctors and societies' who are supposed to be 'experts' because we feel much worse, are very symptomatic, and cannot get relief due to not being on an optimum dose of hormone replacements that restore our health.
Our -the sufferers - tales of woe are ignored by those who should have some compassion to relieve symptoms which can be achieved by the right dose and by the right hormone replacement if levo isn't doing so.
I should also state I'm not medically qualified but had to diagnose myself. No doctor I paid or GPs could - even underwent an operations for something I didn't have and was completely unnecessary. Thanks to Thyroiduk.org.uk. I have no symptoms now.
Oh! dear. These 'specialists' aren't real specialists at all. For a start TSH is not a thyroid hormone, it is from the pituitary gland and rises if our thyroid gland is struggling.
The aim is a TSH of 1 or lower, and FT4 and FT3 towards the upper part of the ranges (rarely tested).
Maybe give GP a copy from a 'real specialist' and it's no wonder he cannot take on any more patients.
