New to all this . I’ve been over heating, sweaty and disgusting for a good couple of years but I only got the letter saying my thyroid results tested high in Jan (on my 40th 🙄)
Since then started on low dose of Carbimazole and Propranolol. 2 weeks later my results shot up, now on 80mg Propranolol and 40mg Carbimazole. Tested positive for Graves’ disease.

Just ring reception at your surgery and ask the receptionist to print them out, and that you will pick them up in a couple of days. The law does say you're entitled to them.
She could ask them to email them to her because we are being advised to stay away from surgeries unless it is an emergency. Also she could ask if there is an online service she could log into to view her results like I do.
That would not be contradicting me, that would be adding to the information. I don't think about on-line results because in France, we're automatically given a print-out of our results by the laboratory. We don't have to ask for them, they are ours.
I am with Graves disease and post RAI thyroid ablation in 2005 and now manage lingering Graves symptoms, thyroid eye disease and hypothyroidism.
It was quite a while ago but I didn't find much information forthcoming from the medical profession and more recently started to sort myself out and with thanks to this website, in the most part, and a couple of books, am much improved and getting on with my life.
You might like to take a look at the Elaine Moore Graves Disease Foundation website.
This lady has the disease and went through RAI thyroid ablation in the late 1990's.
She was and still is a medical researcher and her website is a leading source of everything relating to Graves Disease. It is stateside so there maybe some different medical protocols but there are numerous sections and an open forum, much like this amazing sire where you can ask anything of the members, and Elaine takes an active role in replying to people when she feels it necessary.
I have been diagnosed with Graves' about 10 years ago. Hopefully you will eventually go into remission and I am now on my second. I found Elaine Moore's site was very helpful and she helped me get diagnosed. You can read my story on my profile page.
Here is a link for Elaine Moore's site. I would join if I was you.
Hi there, my son has just tested for high thyroid- Can I ask if your GP asked for the antibodies to be tested for Graves? I’m going to follow this thread too, as it’s all up in the air at the moment.
