Do any members with RA know if it’s ok to take Vit C with methotrexate - I’m asking for my brother?

I was recently on methotrexate for RA and I was taking vitamin supplements as well as the folic acid which they prescribed but my blood count went really low so they have took me off it at the moment until my bloods go back up but they didn't say anything about me taking vitamins and I had no side effects from them apart from the low blood count but if I wasn't sure about anything I just got in touch with my specialist rheumatology nurse .
