I have been on Levothyroxine for the last two years, God knows why my meds were even changed? Since starting on it I now have SEVERE head sweating at the crown and back of my head. It sometimes drips in droplets. Very Very uncomfortable.
I look around me at others near me when it is happening and no one around me has wet hair at the back of their skull. I have had at least three different shampoos prescribed to me but nothing works. I have also tried medicated shampoos myself. It is more severe in summer obviously.
I asked my doctor last year to please put me back on to the original brand of Thyroxine I started on 30 years ago that I had absolutely no problems with. The problems I am having with Levothyroxine include a bad head rash for the last 2 years accompanied with pimples/sores at the base of my hairline, a change in the structure of my hair. Limp, thin. Levothyroxine obviously is not suitable for me.. This problem started just after I was put on Levothyroxine.
Dr suggested he could put me on Synthroid, but the problem continued and is becoming unbearable. I read the bottle ingredients and Synthroid is LEVOTHYROXINE.
Has anyone else had these severe back of the head, head sweats from any brand of Thyroid medications???
