Thyroid and Lung Function

Does anyone know if there is a link between low lung function and thyroid disorders?

I had an overactive thyroid for any years and ended up having radioactive iodine treatment and it subsequently is now underactive. I was told I have graves disease as well.

I was hoping to leave to dive but having just had a dive medical I have been told my lung function is very low but I dont have asthma symptoms. Wondering if its thyroid connected and if there is anything I can do to improve it?

I'm travelling at present so unable to consult my usual doctor for a while

Thank you

Low iron and ferritin common when hypothyroid and can affect breathing

Recommend Getting vitamin D, folate, B12 tested too
