Would antibiotics affect blood test

Hi all. I have been on antibiotics for the past week due to a throat infection. I read that they can affect the absorption of thyroid meds. I will finish them today but I was supposed to take a home blood test for my thyroid on Monday. Can they affect the results? Should I wait a bit longer to do the blood test? Thank you in advance.

I am on a maintenance dose of antibiotics because of my lung disease and I haven't noticed any difference in my blood test results; however, I do keep the antibiotic tablet well away from my thyroid meds.

But it's the throat infection that you should be mindful of. We shouldn't do any thyroid tests when we have, or recently had, an acute infection, wait a few weeks until it's completely cleared.
