Hi, please advise on resulrs

Hi

Haven't posted for a while. Hope someone can give me their thoughts. I am on 3 grains of thiroyd. Have a few tablets left and because of the problem with getting hold of it anymore, I have ordered Thyroid S.

Is it a straight switch?

Also, my results are attached. They seem okay, but I don't feel right. Brain fog is really affecting my day to day life. I'm 50, so could it be the menopause gearing up? Although periods are still regular.

I am a bit stressed at work. Could it be that? I.e. cortisol levels too high?

Feel low mood, thick brain fog. Hair still falling and gums started to recede dramatically and quickly.

Sorry, lots of questions- any pointers would be appreciated.

Thanks

Your T3 seems a little high, are you still taking 2 grains or more? When did you last take your NDT before the blood test because it can make your T3 higher than it really is if it is too close to your test. Also I lost hair when I was over active and also when I was under active because my levels were not right for me.

I am taking 3 grains. I missed my morning dose and tested.

You could try reducing it by 1/4 grain and see how you feel. If you started to feel hypo you could always up it again. That is what I used to do when I took Thyroid S. You always go by how you feel with NDT. Also I think your ferritin could be higher it needs to be over 80 for hair growth.

What times did you take your three grains the day before the test? What time was blood test done?

Folate and ferritin are a it low

No vitamin D

As you have hashimoto’s are you on strictly gluten free diet?

Or tried it.....can help brain fog improve

Perhaps reduce NDT a touch and add in a little levothyroxine

Brand Thyroid S is stronger than brand Thiroyd so you should need a bit less when switching over to Thyroid S:

Thiroyd = 35mcg T4 + 8.31mcg T3

Thyroid S = 38mcg T4 + 9mcg T3

Not what you're looking for?
