You’re not alone, I look on here everyday too😊. Since I’ve been diagnosed I’ve been told I’m obsessed with the condition and should stop reading about it, however if I didn’t I wouldn’t be getting the treatment I need! The people on here are such a help x
I wonder why doctors think we get obsessed with our conditions? Because we arent well and doctors arent treating the problem...I know this all too well sadly
Sadly it’s not just the drs it’s family and friends too. What they don’t understand is that at 33yrs old I feel like I owe it to myself and my kids to be as clued up as possible and help myself so I can live a full life! As for the drs... I had a lot of faith in them before I got diagnosed....
You completely owe it to yourself to be healthy. Your kids will be so much happier when they see you are happy and healthy. So glad you got the treatment you needed.
@Rosie2m you sound just like me two years ago! My GP friends almost roll their eyes if I dare to mention anything thyroid related. Keep reading, keep learning- it’s the only way to help yourself.
You can get cytomel prescribed by a psychiatrist. Cytomel being what levothyroxine is made into in the body. It's working great for me.
Same as u I wish I could take u all too. I dont write up much because i know nothing and I'm fighting still since before xmas to get print out of my results from the gp. So you all can help me. I dont know what the problem is giving me them. I'm too fatigued right now to actually fight any more that's how I feel. In my early 40's feel like 90. By the way I'm on eltroxin 175mg for hypothyroidism and I have hashimoto's. I'm trying to stay positive I feel lazy but I know I'm not. Its actually starting to affect my mental health and thankgod I've never suffered with it till now. We all have the right to learn and get the right information to make ourselves feel better. I'd be lost without this forum I really would. Thankyou to everyone who has kindly responded or liked my crazy ramblings and remember no one is alone especially on this forum
You are not lazy if you dont have energy to expend. You are probably running on empty and trying to force yourself to do things. Even if you were lazy there is nothing wrong morally with being lazy. I think a lot of the greatest people on this earth have been some of the laziest. What if Hitler had been lazy? No holocaust, big disaster avoided. So you need to be totally positive and easy with yourself especially until you figure out what is the root problem causing your fatigue. Everybody always wants to blame themselves and they put so much more pressure on themselves smh
Thankyou so much Slushy47 u made me laugh and cheered me up so thankyou . If it was up to me be there would be no ww1 never mind 2 lol. Id be too tired to start an argument never mind a war lol You made my day I'm still laughing
