How long ago? Levothyroxine takes a few weeks to make a difference it is not a quick fix. also the big drop in dose of T3 will make you tired. Why have you dropped it?

Hi Lora, thank you for reply.. My dosage was changed a week ago by an Endo Professor, it was my first appointment. He did not have any of my previous blood results as it was a different Hospital and he could not see any of the data from my current Hospital.. He said to increase the meds because I was symptomatic and he could not wave a magic wand to make me better.. He was USELESS and it was a complete waste of time and cost me £200 in traveling.. My current Consultant sent me to see him, as she can not get me symptom free and has said she thinks I am intolerant to all the meds.. Nobody seems to be able to HELP me , and i'm struggling with all of this awful illness

I am so grateful for all the advice and care I get from all of you, another big thank you..

Take care

kind regards

What we're your blood results when it was decided to change the dosages?

Looking back at your thread from one month ago here:

healthunlocked.com/thyroidu...

You started off saying:

T4 = 75 mcg 1 daily

T3 = 10 mcg 2 daily. I have been taking these for 6 months. Then she changed them to..

T4 = 50mcg 1 dailly

T3 = 10 mcg 3 daily

then further down you said:

My Endocrinologist has yet again changed my medication to ,,

Levothyroxine = 50 mcg daily [ previous dosage was Levo = 75 mcg, Liothyronine = 30]

Liothyronine = 30 mcg daily This is what I am on now.

It was also pointed out that your nutrient levels were poor and that thyroid hormone can't work properly with such levels and suggestions were made what to take to try and improve them.

Then 12 days ago you said here:

healthunlocked.com/thyroidu... :

I am on

Levo 75mcg 1 daily

Liothyronine 50 mcg daily

and again your poor nutrient levels were pointed out.

and now you're saying:

I have recently had an increase in Levothyroxine from 75mcg to 100mcg and T3 from 30 mcg to 10 mcg

If you have had that increase in Levo and reduction in T3 in the last week then you are having too many changes too quickly. We should wait 6-8 weeks on a new dose before retesting and any new changes. Also, we should only change one thing at a time, not both, otherwise how do we know whether it's the change in Levo or the change in T3 that is making the difference.

I'm afraid I am totally confused about what doses you are taking, and when the changes were made. Also, maybe you can re-read your other threads and address the sub-optimal nutrient levels.

Hi Seaside,thank you for the advice.. To answer your question, I'm totally confused about everything. My change in dosage is via the Consultant and Professor in Endocrinology, I never self medicate as I'm too scared. I went to see the Professor a week ago, who didnt have any blood results as I was sent to him via my current Endocrinologist, and he could not get into the Data , as it was a different Hospital. My current Endo cannot get me symptom free and thinks I am intolerant to all the meds. It was the professor that said increase LEVO and Decrease LIOthyronine.. The professor was absolutely USELESS and didnt have much knowledge , even with his so called experience.. I am struggling with all of the illness and have even contemplated suicide, my life is totally destroyed.. So the next step is to go back to my original consultant..

Well until you can see your original consultant I would concentrate on addressing your poor nurtrient levels. I responded about those in this thread:

I want to thank everybody on this FORUM for all the knowledgeable and advice I have been given, I have learnt so much much more from all of you. I have days when I can not absorb any of the advice you recommend, due to the Brain fog, so apologies if I sometimes do not give the correct answers to your questions.. I am now waiting for an appointment to return back to my Endo, but to be honest I am thinking none of the doctors can help me , and she too isn't very knowledgeable.. I think I am better off asking you guys anything I need to know and try to help myself.

Thank you so much

Take care

kind regards

Bubba
