I do hope Armour works well for you as it is one of the original NDTs which is popular with many hypo patients. Good luck and hope you feel much better in 2020.
According to your last post, your low T3 has more to do with under-medication that poor conversion. You're taking NDT, so not reliant on conversion. You need to increase your dose of NDT. 1 grain is unlikely to be enough for anyone.
An increase of half a grain is very large. Better to increase by a quarter, wait a few weeks and then increase by a quarter again. You can carry on like that until you reach two grains, then get a full thyoid panel blood test and decide what to do next.
I just read your bio and it seems you have an extentsive health issues. Are you being medically treated for hypothyroidism or just self medicating or did I misread your info?
Hi, I've been treated medically with t4 since my baby was born in 1986. It's just these last few years I've not been well. My endo is now prescribing Armour for me to trial for six months.
I'm glad you're being prescribed Armour and it can be increased gradually until you are symptom-free. The following link you might find helpful.
Safely getting well etc is by one of Thyroiduk's Advisers - now deceased but he would never prescribe levothyroxine - only NDT or T3 for patients who were thyroid hormone resistant.
Usually, we begin on a dose of Armour with gradual increases until symptom-free and if you feel you're on a 'bit too much' reduce to previous dose but this link will help:-
