I am really struggling with insomnia, not going to sleep until 3am or later and a very interrupted sleep pattern. Feel wide awake in the evening and really strung out and shaky during the night and weepy. It is quite frightening how awful I feel after 4am.
Although I am not technically over-medicated, I have reduced my dose and been experimenting with the time I take my 2 doses of T3. When I do the latter (change the time of the dose) how long do I need to wait to see if that helps? Nothing seems to be working at the moment and it’s hard to tell whether I need a dose decrease or it’s a cortisol imbalance causing the insomnia. Thanks

I think maybe you started out on too high a dose of T3. A lot of people do better if they start out on 5 mcg, and take it all in the morning with their levo. Then work up slowly, giving their bodies time to adjust.
Aw thanks so much GG, I didn’t expect anyone to reply at this time! You are very kind.
Yes, as you may recall, my endo told me to start at 3x5mcg. I tried to do it a bit more gradually but I knew nothing about T3 at that point.
I will reduce again and take it all in the morning. I am feeling so much worse, I am starting to wish I had never bothered to try T3 but will have to be more patient. I am looking into all Paul Robinson method. Thanks again.
