Does anyone else have tinnitus on here
I’ve read it could be my menopause as my FSH is 58 but I’m unsure ?

You will find there are quite a lot of us! It seems to go with the territory.
Frequently linked to low B12 .....which is extremely common with hypothyroidism, especially if you have Hashimoto's
For full Thyroid evaluation you need TSH, FT4 and FT3 plus both TPO and TG thyroid antibodies tested. Also EXTREMELY important to test vitamin D, folate, ferritin and B12
How much Levothyroxine are you currently taking?
When were vitamin levels last tested? Add results and ranges if you have any
What vitamin supplements do you currently take?

Just discovered mine is (probably) linked to eustachian tube dysfunction, and have been prescribed a steroid nasal spray.....2 weeks later, no change so far. Grrrr!
The joys of thyroid disease!
Hi Popsta73,
I had tinnitus for years. It took the form of quiet musical sounds and was situational, i.e. I only heard it in bed at night. It took me a long time to realise it was not actual distant music but was in my head.
After diagnosis of hypothyroidism and many months after starting treatment with levothyroxine I realised it had completely gone. I think, in my case at least, it must have been thyroid related. Otherwise it was a very strange coincidence. It has been gone now for over a year and there has been no sign of it returning.
Hope you find the cause of yours and manage to cure it quickly. Mine was not terribly intrusive but I know I was lucky as it can be very annoying.
All the best
Caroline
Yes I do, and it only really appeared regularly after my levels went haywire and my dosage increased from 25 to 75 to 100, now on 125 a day, it's there constantly and varies in loudness, I have also gone through menopause but this was there prior to that. I haven't found anything that helps yet but I have learnt to blank it out
