Has anyone had any luck with contacting their local Healthwatch about issues relating to their thyroid and/or treatment by GPs, Endo’s and other clinicians who know nothing about treating thyroid problems? And getting GPs to follow NICE guidance on prescribing T3?

PLEASE everyone contact your local Healthwatch. Healthwatch England is collating responses from each Healthwatch around England in order to make a more detailed case for thyroid patients.

Healthwatch Norfolk are absolutely brilliant. They have supported our local group, and the Norfolk CCGs are allowing T3 to be prescribed again (the CCGs are extremely slow and yet to finalise their protocol, but that's not a surprise)

Apparently each local Healthwatch is set up differently, so are not as lucky as we are. But each local Healthwatch will feed into Healthwatch England.
