I wish it covered Wales :(

And Hibs1 points out Scotland, I'll add northern Ireland.

At the bottom, it says HEALTHWATCH ENGLAND. Why that can't be part of their logo and web address, I have no idea!

I know the 4 nations have their own NHS but I do think something like this should be taken up by all of them. I really wanted to share my "experience" of a recent appointment with a hospital consultant. I did make an official complaint afterwards but, of course, the consultant's recollection was different from mine, I had only "perceived" what I had complained about. Yeah, right. They cover their backs very nicely!

I think the conservative party are doing a survey about the NHS. They have posted some in my area but I don't know if they have done the whole country yet. I will try to find out when I see my local MP this Friday at a party they are throwing for people who helped during the election.

I thought you were still unwell with your coughing virus ! I would give exposure to other bugs a miss whilst you are recovering - just thinking aloud !

I'd be very happy to see Healthwatch UK with the obvious four sub- or parallel organisations. :-)

Fully agree there needs to be something like this available for all. (And inventing a different named organisation for each of the four just serves to confuse.)

in reply to SeasideSusie

Me too. I started composing a reply before realising!

But you could try leaving the location blank and see if it gets through!

What part of Wales are you, Susie? I'm not far from Swansea

It's not Scotland as does not come up in where you live

According to our poll a few months ago, more than 68% of members here reside in England.

Scotland, Wales and N Ireland members add up to just over 14%.

For anyone in the UK but not in England, it's a little like the T4 works for everyone theory i.e. those who don't fit in the majority category, don't matter.

Yes I remember the poll. My own personal experience of NHS Wales doing their own thing is that we get free parking at hospitals and everyone gets free prescriptions but very much to the detriment of everything else.

I have filled in the form stating how I have been treated by Doctors for my condition ... in other words I haven't been monitored or helped by them.

in reply to Lora7again

Doctors vary, some are good, but they are still restricted and misinformed by the conspiracy of errors coming from the top :-(

Thanks for sharing! Was about to, as it has popped up on another facebook forum! There was a suggestion Healthwatch England are interested in pursuing the Liothyronine situation. Does anyone know, whether that is so?

The thyroid groups have been working to get various bodies involved, one being Healthwatch England, and it's going well at the moment.
