Hand pain
I've no idea whether that's related to Hashimoto in particular, but there is such a problem related to Hypothyroidism which is carpal tunnel syndrome. Suggest you discuss with GP and possibly get a referral to a hospital that is equipped to do some tests. These are basically checking the timing of reaction to small electric shocks. If that's the problem then a simply op on affected wrist cures it instantly. Only one wrist at a time unless you want to find out who your real friends are!
See how long you can hold your hands above your head; if that is impossible for more than 5-10 seconds, then it's fairly certain you have it.
Simple problem, easy solution, don't worry about it.
Depends whereabouts in your hands hurts. I’ve got inflammatory arthritis and squeezing my hands as if he was shaking hands with me was one of the ways my GP made his diagnosis. He asked if it hurt but as it was very painful the answer was obvious. As well as the pain I had no strength in them anyway, I had had to buy things to put on plugs to be able to remove them from their sockets etc.
I’ve since discovered that I was very lucky my doctor was sympathetic and fast tracked me to rheumatology rather than tell me to go away and take anti inflammatories like people I have met since have been told. As Panda says it coulda.so be carpal tunnel - I’d go to your GP and take it from there.
