I've been suffering from numbness and pins & needles in my left hand (I'm right handed). It started about a month ago in just the middle finger but now is spreading to the whole left hand and occurs more regularly and with greater severity.
My mother also gets this and she's Hypo/Hashi's like me.
Is there a link between this and Thyroid disorder?

Sounds like carpal tunnel, I had issues similar to this last year, I had a trapped nerve in my elbow that affected my little finger and ring finger. Mine was the Ulnar nerve rather than carpal tunnel but it's very similar. It took months to go and even now I can still feel pulling in my elbow. If you are hypo your tissues are more likely to hold onto fluid which can press on nerves, irritating them. It's also easier to trap a nerve if you're hypo.
There are some good videos on YouTube for dealing with carpal tunnel, exercises you can do to help relieve impingement. You might find a wrist support helpful and check your posture desk position and the arms of your chair if you have them, if you do a lot of computer work. I found being on the computer a lot made mine worse as my arm and wrist were pressing against the desk.
Hi Wired123. I have/ had similar issues. Going GF and DF helped. Also wearing wrist supports at night and at work. I have/ had also had similar symptoms in lower leg. Numbness. Pins/ needles. Sort of weird, bad circulation ‚ itchy‘ type skin. Also get muscle twitches. Take high dose 850mgs magnesium per day( split am and pm) which helps.
