It is very doubtful that you would have 'withdrawal symptoms' from being off Levo for 3 days. It probably take several weeks to notice any difference.

Looking at your previous posts, I can see you were prescribed 20mcg T3 a day. If you convert some Levothyroxine to T3 naturally, the process takes 4 - 6 weeks, so there is likely to be a lot still in your system. If you are going to start the T3, I would do so very slowly - perhaps 5mcg per day ( a quarter of a tablet) to start with, then if that feels ok, after 5 or 6 days, increase to 2 quarters a day (one quarter in the morning & one in the afternoon). Again, if that feels OK, you can add another quarter, and so on.

Hi yes T3 and beta blockers was prescribed to me by an endo. I have no heart issues so they put me on beta blockers to stop heart palpitations what i will get with t3 apparently. prescribed it to me 2 months ago on 20mg tablet. one half in mkrning and one in evening and 3 beta blockers and i got chest pain trapped wind and diraeah.. I than came off it as I ended up in a and e. I than didn't hear from endo so I went baxk on levo as TSH was 88 and dr said i could end up in a coma.. I've managed to get TSH down to 26 in 3 weeks by taking levo t4 but I get so ill with it. I got a letter two weeks ago saying to stop the 20mg and to try 10mg with the beta blockers and see how i get on ? got an appt with her in 3 weeks.

Hi. Sorry, after I typed my initial answer I read some of your older posts, and then edited my answer accordingly. It sounds like you are having quite a time of it!. As you have been prescribed the T3 & beta blocker, I would suggest starting the T3 very very slowly, just a quarter of a tablet a day to start, and see how you get on for a few days before increasing it further.

Some brands of Levo give me a bad stomach, but I have managed to find a brand which doesn't. My TSH was not as high as yours though, so I can understand why you would be hesitant to chop & change too much.

I wouldn't take beta blockers unless you actually have problems as they do interfere with thyroid function. Low T3 can causes palpitation;, taking t3 often "cures" them. I doubt that you are taking enough thyroid hormones to make you well. I would be more inclined to try the levo with an antihistamine tablet about 30 mins before to see if it is the fillers in the tablet causing your symptoms and also take 1/4 (5mcg) of T3 once a day

I've tried that.. and it helps the veritgo so must be the fillers in reacting to but the morelevo I take the worse i get. on day 4 of no levo as i couldn't eben walk due to vertigo and its calmed down already. waiting on endo to call me today to see what they say.

I wonder if she will ask me to do t3 without the beta blockers?

Wonder if you have adrenal problems - might be worth requesting short synacthen test

would that cause that?
