Hi guys slightly concerned or shouldn’t I be. My pulse has suddenly increased from 60 bpm to around 75/80 when resting. I’m doing nothing different except I’ve had a b12 injection and now taking magnesium Malate whereas was only taking magnesium citrate. Any tips? I’m very stressed re my dog having 9 puppies!!! 😱

Fast heart rate
My heart rate is faster when undermedicated.
Looking at previous posts, you recently had reduction in dose of Levothyroxine. This can take months to recover from
Low vitamin levels are frequently the direct result
Are you now back on original dose Levothyroxine?
Essential to get FULL Thyroid and vitamin testing 6-8 weeks after any change in supplements especially after starting on B12 injections
Do you have PA?
Or was low B12 due to dose reduction in Levothyroxine?
What’s PA? I’m now back to my original dose of thyroxine have been for about 5 months - I just felt I needed a jab - no other reason. Had them before and felt better.
What vitamin supplements do you currently take?
Supplementing a good quality daily vitamin B complex, one with folate in not folic acid may be beneficial.

B vitamins best taken in the morning after breakfast
Igennus Super B complex are nice small tablets. Often only need one tablet per day, not two. Certainly only start with one tablet per day after breakfast. Retesting levels in 6-8 weeks
Or Thorne Basic B or jarrow B-right are other options that contain folate, but both are large capsules
If you are taking vitamin B complex, or any supplements containing biotin, remember to stop these 7 days before any blood tests, as biotin can falsely affect test results

I’m doing nothing different except I’ve had a b12 injection
There is a relationship between B12 level and potassium level. I'm afraid I don't know anything more specific than that.
Having raised your B12 with an injection you may have lowered your potassium level as a result, and this may cause the heart to go faster.
Do a search for a list of "potassium-rich foods" and eat some of them e.g. eat a banana.
It is possible to buy potassium supplements. They usually come in 99mg tablets everywhere because that is the upper limit allowed in the US (I don't know why.) I keep some in stock, but I never take more than two in a day - the maximum dose is four a day.
It is far better to let the body sort out your potassium with the right foods than to supplement, but I will admit I find easy solutions just too tempting.
