Rt3 experiences, studies, stories

Hello,

I know here many peoples are absolutely sure that rt3 do nothing..

But there are a lots of stories and experiences from people who have had high rt3 and was good ONLY CLEARING IT WITH T3, many of these report the needed to lower their t3 after clearing rt3.

HENCE, I AM A BIT CONFUSED ABOUT, THERE ARE DOCTORS WHO BELIEVES IN THE ROLE OF RT3 - THAT SLOWDOWNS METABOLISM - AND WHO NOT.

Rt3 has his own receptor in citoplasma does not bind t3 receptors, but this doesn't mean it cannot slowdown metabolism....

So, i want to eat experience, feedback, stories from people about.

Not interested in opinion from people who says rt3 do nothing because their opinions.

I need scientific facts, with bibliography and studies about, or personal experiences.

*****

I read about peoples who cleared rt3 with 50 or 75 or 125mcg t3.

Wich was your experience?

Thank you.

P. S there are groups like rt3-adrenals, t3 support on fb, adrenal thyroid care, who speak about.. And they are sure about the negative effect of high rt3.

Also Paul Robinson in his book gives explanation about, and he says the same about rt3.

Honestly i don't think they are all wrong, and only few peoples on this group are right!.

But i am open mind... So.. I ear and evaluate all opinions if logical and supported by strong evidences.

I know there are some statements made about RT3.

As far as I know and I'm not medically qualified is that it is the process of levothyroxine . i.e.T4 converts to RT3 and then into T2. T4 is an inactive hormone and has to convert to the Active thyroid hormone T3 . It is T3 that our receptor cells need.

verywellhealth.com/reverse-...

Extract from the above link:-

"T4 conversion to T3 and rT3: After its release from the thyroid gland, T4 is converted to T3, which is an active thyroid hormone, or to rT3, which is considered an inactive form. The rate and ratio of T4 conversion to either T3 or rT3 depend on the body's metabolic needs.

You've misunderstood something shaws.

T4 gets converted to T3 by one atom of iodine being removed from one molecule of T4.

T4 can also get converted to Reverse T3 by removing a different atom of iodine from one molecule of T4.

T3 and Reverse T3 are mirror images of each other (I think).

One thing that is certain is that Reverse T3 doesn't convert to T3 or vice versa. Both are made from T4.

Thanks. I'm oblliged to you as well.

Not quite, humanbean.

This is a link to a diagram which shows T4, T3, rT3 and (one form of) T2:

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rever...

The mirror image of T3 (L-triiodothyronine) is D-triiodothyronine.

Ah - so I was wrong about the mirror image thing. I hope I remember. :)

rT3 converts to T2 NOT T3. :)

How can you say you have an open mind when you have already decided on your point of view

"...there are groups like rt3-adrenals, t3 support on fb, adrenal thyroid care, who speak about.. And they are sure about the negative effect of high rt3.

I can say i am open mind but not stupid 🙂.

If i find differents groups that think about the same about rt3 and t3 only , plus doctors, also famous doctors...

And also a person like Paul Robinson that has helped himself and thousands of people... Who Wrote 3 books..

And only one group like this where few people say differents things, YES, I HAVE SOME SEVERAL DUBTS.

But, i like to understand the science behind this reading papers and studies..

So, i ask to the people to show me these papers or tell me their personal understand.

But i read just opinions 😉.

I have to say, sadly, i don't receive much useful feedback from this group.

And your is one of the not useful comments.

Wich is your purpose of this comment? 🤔

Please, show me facts, papers, studies.. And i will say i was wrong.

Sorry

Hi Dawid86

You’ve asked the largely non-medically qualified members of this forum for their understanding of scientific papers, which is naturally then going to result in their opinion. If, as you point out in your ordinal post, doctors can’t agree, doesn’t that mean they have different opinions as well?

If you are looking for a single truth then I think you will be searching in vain. Everything you see is a perspective, everything you hear/read is an opinion.

Yes i agree with you... Just personal opinion here.

But if someone say it is a fact, should give the proof

I have to say, sadly, i don't receive much useful feedback from this group.

Which prompts the question: why do you keep coming back here and asking for opinions? You have made 6 threads on this forum in the last 10 months and you keep asking the same thing, you keep getting the same answers and you dispute them every time. You've even disagreed with member Diogenes in this thread

healthunlocked.com/thyroidu...

Diogenes explained that he is a physiological biochemist, he is also a thyroid researcher, author of over 70 papers, and an advisor to ThyroidUK.

So if you prefer the answers from the other sites that you visit then you might be better continuing your discussions with them.

Who is diogenes? Every one can say to be a researcher! If so, please give me the name so i can read his work with interest.

I didn't ask the same if you read good.

Diogenes - Dr John Midgeley - information about him can be found on this page (3rd one down) on ThyroidUK's main website which gives information about all their advisors

What's the difference? People are not likely to form an opinion without having read up on the subject, are they? We're not as stupid as you seem to think we are.

And why do you always have to be so rude? Do you think that insulting people will get you better answers? No, it won't. It will just put people's backs up and preclude all discussion. Although, it's not discussion you want, is it. You just want people to agree with you. I'm honestly beginning to wonder if you're not some kind of troll.

Dawid86 profile image
Dawid86 in reply togreygoose

Troll??? 😳Really? If someone ask the papers o studies about your opinion you think he is a troll?

MY NAME IS DAVIDE CARACAPPA AND YOU CAN SEE MY FB AND INSTAGRAM PROFILE!!!

Also i want to discuss with propel who give their personal experience (useful for me) or who speaks because papers and studies, if not.... I can change my opinion easily, because when i create an opinion i try to study and understand, don't just believe to people.

I am not rude, but i admit i become nervous when read not supported facts from people.

Why i continue to write? Be user hope to speak with people who cna give me important feedback.

greygoose profile image
greygoose in reply toDawid86

If someone ask the papers o studies about your opinion you think he is a troll?

Of course not. That's not the point. The point is you keep asking the same questions over and over again, get the same answers, argue with people and upset them, and have a very difficult attitude.

I do understand what you want, but surely you must have understood by now that you're not going to get it. This is… what? your 7th post on the same subject? Don't you think that if someone had the answers to your questions they would have replied by now? I would have thought it obvious by now that nobody here has the personal experience you're looking for. And you say that people on other forums have that experience, so why don't you talk to them? Or don't you believe them, either?

And, maybe you don't realise you are being rude, but you are. Very rude at times. It almost seems like you enjoy upsetting people, which is why I mentioned trolls, because that's what they do.

I've had another look through my saved articles tonight, but I cannot find what I did with the information I had on rT3. It's not that people aren't trying to help you, they are. But, we cannot tell you what we don't know.
