Hi, have just had bloods results from GP, stated that my kidney function is deteriorating and to drink more water. Does this have snything to do with being hypo?

Yes low GFR is common when hypothyroid

Drinking more water does help a lot.

Kidney function and Thyroid is like chicken and egg. Which one came first ? Your kidneys need a good supply of T4 and T3 to stay healthy. Mine are allot better but not perfect since i went to NDT 4 years ago. This year I switched back to a combo of Levo and NDT but haven't done full bloods yet, so I can't tell you if my GFR has dropped again. I switched back because I was loosing too much weight and getting joint pain on pure NDT. On straight levo I get a worsening head ache the moment I approach a TSH 4.
