I was recently recommended an endocrinologist and saw her privately. I took along the blood work that the hospital (when I had a hypertensive crisis) said was ‘normal’, she had a good actual look at me, took a full medical history of both me and my family and was very clear in her diagnosis of hypothyroidism, almost certainly Hashis (even tho absence of antibodies) given my autoimmune history. This is the first time that I have managed to get a diagnosis despite being symptomatic for over 20 years.
Anyway - I was wondering if anyone else suffers from dark circles and puffiness under the eyes? Despite a very virtuous diet, early nights etc, I just can’t resolve this and I gather it can be quite common. Any thoughts?
Thanks!

Oh, yes. I have those horrible bags! But, it's nothing to do with what you eat or how long you sleep. It's another hypo symptom, that just doesn't want to go away no matter how well medicated I am!
Yeah.. I took a full set with me when I saw her and she did a load more that day. Now on 50mcg starting dose of Levo with a review after one month. She was FAB.
I never had dark circles but had puffiness under my eyes. It went away on thyroid medication. My eyes look so much bigger now. And my whole face was swollen too. It will go away but it takes time and optimal dose.
