To all of you who can not tolerate T4 and take T3 only. What sort of problems were you having whilst taking the T4 ? I am trying to figure out if its just because i am under medicated or that i can not tolerate T4 . Thanks everyone x

Your labs could help you decide that. When did you last have them done? What was tested? You need TSH, FT4, FT3, both to see your levels and how well you convert.

I couldn't tolerate T4, but there weren't any special symptoms, I just never got well on it. Got up to 200 mcg and was converting perfectly but was still unwell. Finally got on to T3 only about 8 years ago, and since then have tried twice to reintroduce levo, but each time it I start to go downhill.

Not what you're looking for?
