Hi, I’m just wondering if fillers can change in Levothyroxine and cause symptoms? I’ve been on Actavis Levothyroxine for many many years and have recently been having symptoms of hairloss and blurry vision. Reducing my Levothyroxine was not the answer, if anything I felt worse. My blood test results are the same as they have always been for the past three years. Could a change in fillers or something in the tablets be a cause?

Change in Actavis??
It appears other people have been having trouble with Activis, too.

Thank you greygoose. I am really struggling - the hairloss in particular is awful. Am I barking up totally the wrong tree or could it be that something in the tablets has changed?
I'm afraid I can't answer that. But, I think the others would agree that something has changed, and people are getting sick as a result. As you can read in those threads, people have been having in depth conversations to try and find any other possible cause, but so far haven't come up with much. Maybe you and the people concerned should get together and exchange notes. Myself, I don't even take levo, I cannot tolerate T4 at all. But, when you talk to people that have been previously well on Activis, then suddenly everything goes haywire, it does make you think.
