Heart flutters / graves

Morning all,

Just a quick post before I start work. I woke up with my heart fluttering had a stressful day yesterday afternoon. Do you think this has caused them?

Hi Lauren,

The palpitations could definitely be from your Graves as stress triggers symptoms. Hope you had a good vacay BTW!

Hey Greek chick, I had a great holiday back to work now, I hate having palpitations they make me really anxious which doesn’t help. I’m currently waiting on a date to get thyroid removed. Hope you are well

So glad to hear that you had fun on vacay! Does your MD have you on a beta blocker - propranolol maybe? It helps with palpitations and also has slowing effects on the thyroid for Graves patients. While you are waiting on a date for surgery you can get some relief. I always hated the palpitations - made me so upset. I am doing better and thanks for asking! All the best.

I have beta blockers I was on them before I got diagnosed with graves, on them for anxiety so could be a mixture of both really? Have a great day
