Heart flutters/missed beats

Afternoon you lovely people. I’m getting these horrible heart flutters and my temp is only reaching 36.5. Recently switched to T.R. Man Thai NDT after the awful Naturethroid debacle. My question is when I google this symptom it says hyperthyroidism causes this but I’m not overmedicated. Not hot or jittery or losing weight (pft) my instinct is it’s hypo symptoms not hyper. Answers on a postcard please 😀. P.S. I used to get this a lot before I finally got my diagnosis

Yup, I get these if over OR under medicated... It's never easy is it 😐

No. It’s such a constant struggle. I read a tip from a lady on here recently who said look in the mirror if your eyelids are hidden (hooded) you’re under medicated. I’ve taken an extra 1/4 at 3pm and it’s calmed down and my temp is 36.7 so I may get a decent kip tonight too

Have you tried taking magnesium? some people get eptopic heartbeats due to low magnesium

Magnesium is a controversial topic apparently now so I stopped about 4 months ago. Turns out I was under as 1/4 increase has stopped them

When I was undiagnosed hypo I suffered with Bradycardia ... once optimised on thyroid meds, I didn’t. So being hypo can affect your heart as well as being hyper.

Hi my upping my dose by a 1/4 has resolved this thank god. I should learn to trust my instincts more

I had lots of 'funny' heart beats every day till diagnosed . Now taking T 4 and T 3. Never happens now. I was hyPO

Good luck

Hi there yes it was a dose increase issue. Only thing is I’m only 56kilos and I’m now up to 4 and a quarter grains per day ?

That’s one of the most absurd comments I’ve heard yet. How do you look hypo unless you’re really ill. I have never “looked” hypo. One nurse told me it was it was the menopause when I’d just had a baby. Seriously 😒

I've had ectopic beats for years. If you are worried ask for an ECG and a referral to cardiology. Cardiologist said mine weren't dangerous - just annoying. They are much better when my T3 is optimal - worse when it is too low.
