Low thyroid levels and cravings...?

Has anyone else noticed increased fast carb cravings when thyroid levels are low(ish)?

I am asking because every time I go below a certain dose of NDT, I experience terrible cravings that disappear as soon as I raise the NDT slightly. I would have thought these cravings (for sugary/starchy foods) were related to blood sugar/insulin levels more than anything, but they actually seem to be thyroid-related, hence my question...

I have read about cortisol/insulin interdependence, but not so much about the thyroid/ blood sugar connection so would be interested in other people's experiences.

I see my hormone doctor once a year so have to self-adjust dosages from time to time. And the kind of response I am talking about (reduced cravings after dose increase) takes place within 24-48 hours, so too fast for labs to show any difference anyway.

Yes, I have sugar/carb craving on all the thyroid meds ive been on including AT and I too thought I might have developed sugar problems and my test for sugar came back fine. I think for me Im tired all the time, I did post my recent labs and iron here so im not sure either. It would be nice to know.
