Is it ok to cut T3 pill (25 mcg) from Uni-Pharma (Greece) in 4 pieces each 6.25 mcg ?
Does that affect the effectiveness of this medication ?

If you have a good pill-cutter there should be no problem. Even if one portion isn't completely accurate it shouldn't matter. Cutting shouldn't affect the dose you're aiming for too much.
Many of us take T3 as 1/4 of tablet 2 or 3 times per day
I find a sharp craft scalpel cuts tablets well
I have just started taking T3 and I bought a pill cutter ( from Amazon about £4-£5 )so I could cut 25mcg tablets into 4 and it seems to be working very well. I'm not sure they are identical in size but as I have started on only one quarter in the morning I feel quite relaxed about it at the moment.
How did it make you feel? Taking once per day?
Hi Yolobrass
I started taking a quarter of a tablet, first thing in the morning with water before getting up at about 7am and after 3-4 weeks I added a second quarter at bedtime with my levothyroxine. After another 4 weeks I added a third dose but that seemed to make me feel over medicated so I did a blood test and my T3 was slightly over the top of the range, so I dropped back to two doses and I have been stable on those two doses + my levo for about 6 months now.
I think it took a few months of being on the same dose (12.5mcg split into two doses ) before I properly started feeling the benefits, though I do believe some people feel a much faster improvement. Maybe it took a while before my cells were able to respond correctly to the T3 as they had probably been starved of T3 for years.
I feel much better than I did on levo alone, my mood has improved considerably , my blood pressure has come down, I no longer have palpitations, dry skin or peeling nails, I also no longer crave sugary foods.
My cholesterol has fallen by about 20 % a doctor would say it is still high but I am not too concerned by it as I don't think it is the problem it is made out to be.
I can exercise again and generally feel well in myself, I have not been able to lose a huge amount of weight ( about 5 kg in total)but I am not too bothered as I see myself as active and healthy for the first time in years.
I hope that answers your questions.
Good luck if you are taking T3 but if you are like me you may have to be patient to see the real improvements.
