Another document to try to help in understanding thyroid hormones.

We have had many threads where the iodine content of thyroid hormones has been discussed. This has often not been understood. Sometimes it has looked as if iodine is an extra ingredient - not a fundamental part of the thyroid hormone molecules.

I have tried to explain using basic diagrams and chemistry.
