Maximum of six weeks I would think but probably sooner. Everyone’s different. Levels will drop quickly I’m sure and you’ll feel better soon.

Everyone is different but for me it takes 8 weeks to physically notice anything when I change my dose.

I used to get 6 weekly blood tests and it was pointless because I didn’t see any change in that time.

“Half-life elimination is 6–7 days for people with normal lab results; 9–10 days for people with hypothyroidism; 3–4 days for people with hyperthyroidism.[16] Thyroid hormones are primarily eliminated by the kidneys (approximately 80%), with urinary excretion decreasing with age.[16] The remaining 20% of T4 eliminated in the stool.[16]” [Wikipedia]

After my thyroidectomy I was started on 100 mcg T4 and had lot of symptoms. Surgeon lowered my dose to 88mcg but also had me skip a couple of days to help clear some of the excess more quickly.
