I posted earlier about my daughter’s results and I have now received mine. As before, any advice and information gratefully received.

Gosh, I can't believe how similar they are - TSH in the 3s, FT4 below range and FT3 in the 4s.

Your Tg antibodies are nice and low but your TPO antibodies are so close to the top of the range that I would put money on you having Hashi's (which of course makes one suspicious that your daughter could too).

All I can suggest is that you discuss your below range FT4 with your GP (is it the same GP as your daughter?)

Did you have the Ultravit test like your daughter? If so what are your vitamins/ferritin like?

Hi SeasideSusie. I only had those tests done. I did have a test in March for some vitamins which I can put on. Vitamin d was lower than Nicola s but they said ferritin was ok.

The GP rang me on Monday morning to say my potassium was really low too. It was just a routine kidney function test. Got to have another one next Monday. He thinks that the diuretic is causing it but I checked my last blood test when they said ‘ I’ll prove there’s nothing wrong’ and ordered a load of tests! The potassium was only just in range on that one and I hadn’t had any diuretics then.

My mum had hashimoto and my sister had Graves so I guess it’s a family thing. Looking back at how my grandmother was I can see now that she had it too.

We have different GP’s but neither of us have any faith in them anymore tired of being told ‘it’s normal’ - when you know it’s not and being given anti depressants etc.

SeasideSusie, thank you for all your help and support I don’t know much about thyroid problems etc yet and your information and support has helped both of us more than I can say. Thank you xxxx
