Long story short, was on nature throid, it stopped working and my levels dropped so I switched to Thai thiroyd which has been gradually getting my t3 back up. I'm currently on 5 grains of Thai thiroyd, have been on that dose for around 5 months. I feel OK, pretty active, still feel there's room for improvement as I do get tired.
No new meds or supplements, my ferritin was low in April but that has risen significantly now after increasing my iron intake.
Both tests done through Thriva, fasting, first thing in morning before meds.
Confused as to why my t3 has dropped but also, why my t4 hasn't dropped with it which is what would normally happen 🤔
I agree FT3 result looks low for someone medicating 5 grains of NDT but maybe new meds have slightly more T4, and your low iron reduced conversion for a while ? Maybe some new stress or unrealised lifestyle change has had some bearing. Remember just as symptoms can remain for months after good or changed biochemistry, it can also be the other way around.
Sometimes we place too much emphasise on labs which are only a indication anyway. And sometimes our recovery just plateaus for a while. As long as you are not going backwards, I would be inclined to just put it down to “one of those things”.
