So I have some music under some parts of my body, at least it feels like. Generally, it's not really an issue. Apart from one place---one of my cheeks on my face. I can't pinch the skin there. It's not too inflamed but it feels thicker than the other cheek.
My cheek's been like this for over a year. I've shown four doctors and they just dismiss it---even a dermatologist! I'm assuming it's mucin as i'm hypo and it was worse before my meds got sorted to be more stable.
We all know that when you lose significant amounts of weight, let's say 50pounds+, you can end up with saggy skin if you do it too quick or don't exercise.
I've tried to look up information on what happens when you have areas of too much mucin, and then lose weight. That skin has little elasticity right now so I'm scared it's just going to sag, which will look awful since it's on my face.
The best case I'm guessing is the fat under it disappears and the mucin keeps the skin tort and round. I don't mind having a round face forever.
Does anyone have any experience or knowledge on this?
