Too much mucin and losing weight?

So I have some music under some parts of my body, at least it feels like. Generally, it's not really an issue. Apart from one place---one of my cheeks on my face. I can't pinch the skin there. It's not too inflamed but it feels thicker than the other cheek.

My cheek's been like this for over a year. I've shown four doctors and they just dismiss it---even a dermatologist! I'm assuming it's mucin as i'm hypo and it was worse before my meds got sorted to be more stable.

We all know that when you lose significant amounts of weight, let's say 50pounds+, you can end up with saggy skin if you do it too quick or don't exercise.

I've tried to look up information on what happens when you have areas of too much mucin, and then lose weight. That skin has little elasticity right now so I'm scared it's just going to sag, which will look awful since it's on my face.

The best case I'm guessing is the fat under it disappears and the mucin keeps the skin tort and round. I don't mind having a round face forever.

Does anyone have any experience or knowledge on this?

Wow, I'm surprised nobody has answered to this yet. I am also so intrigued about same question. All I know is people using NAC helps to reduce mucin but it acts pretty slow. Like 6 months per area at a time or something. NAC is known to dissolved mucus in lungs and detox liver but apparently it also helps to get rid of mucin on hypo ppl. Serrapeptase is also said accomplish same results as well as NAC, but I haven't used it. I did use NAC but the situation is that you have to consume it along with Vit C to avoid kidney stones. I couldn't tell about my improvement if it's due solely on this or a combination with the right dose of NDT plus other stuffs I'm doing such intermittent fasting, and turpentine protocol for candida. Who knows. I'd love to listen more testimonies about getting rid of mucin and what has worked for them.

Not what you're looking for?
