Ladies - anyone discovered it’s their ‘other’ hormones causing problems?

Just a thought!

So I’m still quite young to be talking menopause (I’m 42) but have certainly had a few peri issues.

It just occurred to me.... I’m about 10 weeks into a T3/T4 combo trial, and have just increased my T3 this week as some symptoms have returned.

However, I am totally shattered! Like, i feel like I’ve had about two hours sleep. And I’m struggling to get up in the morning again. For the last month or so I’ve felt on top of the world, full of energy and my motivation has been great.

There is some space in my blood results to suggest an increase in T3 might help but a week in and I’m not feeling it!

So, it occurred to me maybe my other hormones are contributing to how I feel and I’m just assuming it’s my thyroid!

Anybody else come across this?

I’m just interested to hear others thoughts 🤷🏼‍♀️

I've also posted today asking about the OAT Axis - so I'd be interested what people say to you as I've not had any replies so far. My theory is that they are closely linked and why I'm so poorly, but hoping someone who's had a similar experience can put me at ease, hope you get an answer too :)

Well when my “crash” kicked off in 2017, I began to have major problems around my period too.

Now I had a mirena coil fitted which I now know can lower your natural progesterone and I had that removed but what contributed to what, I don’t know. It’s a bit chicken and egg!

It’s definitely all related though, and I just wondered this afternoon if when suddenly I’m having a few days where I am ridiculously tired, having been fine for weeks, if that is more female hormone than thyroid hormone?

Who knows, it’s all so complicated I bet no one properly understands it! 🤷🏼‍♀️
