Old news. Doctors are requested to check whether a patient has been misdiagnosed with PH if he/she fails to get well on levothroxine. This hardly seems to be likely if their TSH has to be greater than 10 to qualify having PH!

Also fails to make any sense for a doctor to confirm his patient actually has PH when the patient no longer has a thyroid gland after surgery.

What is the PH you refer to in this post? Did you mean Primary Hypothyroidism?

Agree entirely especially as there are so many cuts in tests and removal of T3 from prescriptions. As the BBC is part government and part privatised with sharing of licence fees it is not fair to show an unfair bias concerning the needs of people who need thyroid medication. As the BBC is so large, it is impossible to make a complaint with any result.

You can write to the BBC online through their complaints system, but the system is selective and if the editors think your complaint is not warranted, it will never go any further. The final decision is always with the editor until a calamity occurs which rocks the status quo.

Spot on hawii60. I’ve complained a few times about the BBC. You have to be totally incensed to keep going through their complaints procedure.

I always tick the box for a reply now because reading how they justify themselves no matter how unjustifiable their actions are is hysterical. It’s worth complaining just to see what they have to say. Especially if your complaint is about their so called ‘talent’.

I couldn’t believe it that they actually sacked that guy last week ( no, I didn’t complain ) I know ‘cynic’ is my middle name but I can only assume that someone up high up in the BeeB is hoping for a knighthood or something similar hence the urgency to disassociate themselves.

You are so right - I wrote to Ofcom referring to an episode in Coronation Street where

a rubbish bin had the word Jew on it. They said it was unlikely anyone would see a ten second flash of the bin! Talk about hidden racism - they had shot themselves in the foot as they had admitted they are institutionally racist! The complaint system is now rigged so even when hundreds of thousands of people complain of cruelty to animals -Micheal Barrymore? then nothing happens! They are in a bubble world of sound effects with either a yes or no answer - they are so dim it is worthwhile writing to receive their golden crap!
