Is it worth testing Graves antibodies 12 years after ablation? Would it be useful?

I was just going to order a test to check for Graves antibodies but just want to make sure it’s necessary and worthwhile? An Endo told me last year that antibodies decline after an amount of years. I get confused and worry about it all 🙃

Not sure if it is worth it. I test mine regularly as part of monitoring my thyroid and other vitamins etc. I just like to see what’s going on - I have to pay for it myself. I use home finger prick tests either from Medichecks or BlueHorizon. They are very good.

I went totally gluten free about five years ago when I developed autoimmune arthritis - I have several other autoimmune conditions and it seemed like worth trying - and my antibodies have plummeted - it could be they would have dropped naturally as your consultant has said or it could be being gluten free.

Did you have RAI or a TT or are you just in remission (like me)?
